Maryland Historical Trust
A most informative website! The Maryland Historical Trust was formed
in 1961 to assist the people of Maryland in identifying, studying, evaluating,
preserving, protecting, and interpreting the state's significant prehistoric
and historic districts, sites, structures, cultural landscapes, heritage
areas, cultural objects, and artifacts, as well as less tangible human and
community traditions.
Preservation Maryland
Preservation Maryland is the state's oldest historic preservation organization.
Founded in 1931 as the Society for the Preservation of Maryland Antiquities.
Preservation Maryland is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated
to preserving Maryland's rich and diverse heritage of buildings, landscapes,
